Firebird takes its safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Although the provision of Firebird’s services does not involve working with pupils or students directly, its staff fully understand that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility, and everyone who comes into contact with children (eg during school visits) has an important role to play.
Firebird has in place the following safeguarding measures in compliance with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education
Employees and associates receive mandatory on-line safeguarding training on an annual basis. This training is based on the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance produced by the DfE.
Employees and associates fully understand their duty to notify the designated safeguarding lead within schools should they have any concerns about a child’s welfare. Firebird will provide full support to the school when following their local safeguarding procedures.
